Before you start

• What is StarJar?Kids earn stars for their routines, chores, reading and learning, and watch their jar fill up. Grown-ups set it all up and keep track in the Grown-ups' zone.
• Who is it for?Families in Australia. A grown-up aged 18 or over creates the family and sets it up for the kids.
• What does it cost?First month free, no card needed. Then A$5 a month per family (GST included).
• Do I need a card to start?No. The first month is free with no card needed. Add a card in Grown-ups' zone > Billing when you want to keep going.
• What if I don't add a card?When the free time ends, StarJar keeps working for 7 days. Then it rests: nothing is deleted, and adding a card wakes it up.
• What does it run on?Any tablet, phone or computer with a web browser. You can install it like an app too.
• Do kids need accounts or emails?No. Kids don't have accounts or emails, and they can't send anything out of StarJar.
• Can kids get into the grown-up settings?The Grown-ups' zone sits behind the StarJar password. It's for grown-ups only; kids never need it.
• What do you keep about my family?Only what StarJar needs: a first name or nickname, an animal picture and a colour for each kid, and what they earn. The only photos are reward photos a grown-up chooses to add. No ads and no third-party tracking tools. The Privacy policy has the details.
• How do I cancel?Grown-ups' zone > Billing > Cancel StarJar. No more charges, and StarJar stays on until the end of the time you've paid for.
